Everyone’s a regular eventually
La Costa is one block from the sand and about the size of a living room. People meet here, run here, work here and come back here every summer for years. If you’re new: you already fit.

The regulars
Two of the drinks on the board are named after customers. That is roughly the whole business model.
First customer we ever had. There's a bagel named after her way of eating.
Ordered it so often we put it on the board with her name on it.
Walked in asking for lavender before we stocked it. Now we stock it.
Fishermen, contractors and one very patient dog. Door opens, they're there.
First time?
At the counter, or ahead on your phone and walk straight past the line.
Nobody minds. The answer is usually Erika's cold brew or the Lox Special.
There's no minimum, no time limit and the wifi password is on the wall.

The wall by the register
Been coming here every August since the summer it opened. My kids order for themselves now.
Got engaged on the boardwalk and came straight here. They put a candle in a donut.
The only place in town that knows my order before I'm through the door.
Rained the whole week. We came here every single morning anyway.
There’s a stack of cards and a pen by the register. Or tag us.
